I got so busy with life and the baby I forgot about my blog:) Baby Evalynn Rose was born on August 15th 2010:) All 4 older girls were in the room to welcome their new little sister.
She is 15 months now and HAPPY< HEALTHY and HERE! When I look back at our journey I am so thankful we took the leaps of faith that we did to have her. It was not easy....but it was meant to be.

Fantastic weekend:) Sienna was the center of attention and went with Greg on the train to MPLS to spend a few days with Grandma Jill and go to a MN Twins game. Fantastic seats, she ate gluten for the first time in over a year....and just had a great time. Greg made a super cute sign for them to hold up to try to get on TV. No TV time but we saved the sign. It's cute:)
The other three girls and pregnant me drove down on Friday to my Moms in Eagan to spend some time with her before she moves to her new place in Waseca. Since she is moving it meant the girls got to come home with goodies she was giveing them that she did not want anymore. Nothing makes JIlly more happy than a new purse...or 5 of them!
My cousins Mary and Terri both had sons having Graduation Parties for their oldest sons while we were down there and most of my relatives were out from Maryland to visit for the event. It was nice to see everyone. My Dad introduced his girlfriend Lynn to everyone for the first time as well and I think it went over good.
After that the kids and Greg headed down to Rushford to meet up with my Dad and Lynn and Carrie, Trent and the boys. The weather was very warm but nice. Mom and I drove down Sunday morning to meet up with all of them and enjoy the day withought putting to much on me being that I am 7 months pregnant. The kids had fun 4 wheeling, paintballing and going on a long hike. Greg and Sienna took the train home while I drove all night with the other girls. They were really well behaved and made the drive very easy on me:)

Proud Mama:)
That I am....one proud Mama. My four daughters are very nice girls and are so very different from each other. Their talents are all so different and helping them to see their own strenghs each day has been a pleasure and heartbreaking at the same time.
This week has been a struggle for my girls but in a way for good reason. They are faceing times when if you stand up for what is right people do not always respond how you would hope they would. Jilly struggled with a teacher who was grossly unfair to her where the principal had to get involved and scold the teacher! Olivia stuggles with fitting in and making friends dispite her being a super nice and sweet girl. Sienna has lots of friends and now she knows how much it hurts when a friend makes unkind remarks about something she worked so hard on. And then Miranda. I watched her grow up a lot this week but it broke both of our hearts I think to see her do it. Having to deal all these years with my ex husbands family has been hard for her. Because we raised her to be polite and not back talk she never told them how unhappy she was down there. It is such a different lifestyle than what we have up here. She finally could not take it anymore and even knowing the guilt trips that would follow she told my ex what she thought and asked for a break from the rest of his family for a few months. Not a complete break and not forever...just a few months from his wife and kids.....but he blew up at her and started in with guilt trip after guilt trip. All they think of is their feelings and never about hers. What she expressed to him were her true feelings and they would not listen and accept that she will never be the type of person who condones underage drinking or drinking in general. Or the type of people that swear and make fun of others. She feels unsafe there. I feel bad that over the years I knew how she felt but I always told her that she does not have to see him that often and to put up with it and go on her visits and to be nice. I never stood up for her cause I always felt that if she felt strong enough about it she needed to tell him herself. What I did not know is that when she would try her Dad would then begin with the "you don't love me's" ect......what kid can ever get a point across with a Dad that does that. No wonder it all came pouring out of her all at once. I am proud of her. She stood up for morals and what is right and good. She is tired of being exposed to unsafe and unkind behavior. It is a life lesson that may really help her some day. Doing the right thing is not always easy. Most of the time it is not. She did raise her voice to him but she did not call names, use bad language or get off topic. She was clear about her bottom line and did not deviate from it just because of his reaction. For a 15 year old to do what she did last week I am a very proud MAMA! :)
